But here's where it gets interesting...
Double Trouble: Curzan and Umstead Shine
On the women's side, junior Claire Curzan and freshman Sophia Umstead stole the show with double event wins. Curzan dominated the 100 and 200 free, clocking impressive times of 47.16 and 1:43.50, respectively. Her season best in the 200 free earned her a spot at 20th in the NCAA standings.
Umstead, on the other hand, took the 200 IM and 200 breast, winning by comfortable margins and setting new personal bests.
A Newcomer's Debut
Nina Jazy, making her Cavalier debut, finished runner-up to Curzan in the 100 free with an impressive 49.55. With her long-course sprint freestyle bests of 24.9/54.7, Jazy is one to watch out for in the upcoming postseason.
Men's Highlights: Williamson and King Lead the Way
Maximus Williamson and David King were the stars of the men's team. Williamson won the 200 IM and 100 free, while King took the 200 free and 200 back. Although they didn't match their season bests, their performances were still exceptional.
A Freshman Sensation
