After what seemed like a long wait, Analogue has finally rolled out its much-anticipated Analogue 3D system, powered by FPGA technology. This release has certainly met expectations, captivating many retro gaming enthusiasts.
While it's true that the system may not be as flawlessly accurate as the marketing team would have us believe, it stands out as one of the finest methods to relive the Nintendo 64 experience in today's gaming landscape. Of course, the alternative would be to hunt down the original console and enhance it with an HDMI modification, but even then, you would miss out on several modern enhancements.
What makes the Analogue 3D particularly appealing are features like an impressive performance boost, wireless control capabilities, and a plethora of other functionalities that elevate the gaming experience.
Much like its counterparts – the Super Nt for SNES, Mega Sg for Genesis, and the Analogue Duo for PC Engine/TG-16 – the Analogue 3D provides an exceptional way to access the extensive library of N64 games. Given its price point, it’s a fantastic option for those looking to modernize their classic gaming setup.
Moreover, there's a promise of ongoing improvements; Analogue's engineers are dedicated to enhancing the device’s accuracy and adding new features over time. The main challenge will be securing one, as the demand consistently surpasses the available supply.

Retroid Pocket Classic 6
In the realm of handheld gaming, options with a six-button layout are disappointingly scarce. This is particularly unfortunate since such a configuration is ideal for enjoying titles from the Mega Drive, Saturn, and various Capcom fighting games. Retailing at $450, the Octopus TR Fight Stick may not fit everyone's budget, but it is undeniably one of the most outstanding arcade-style controllers available today. It boasts compatibility with nearly every retro system imaginable, as well as platforms like MiSTer and PC. Constructed from durable materials and featuring built-in Dreamcast VMU support, this fight stick might just be the only one you ever need to invest in.
