In a speech at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Zelenskyy criticized Europe's lack of "political will" to counter Russian President Vladimir Putin, drawing a parallel to the cult film "Groundhog Day" to describe the slow progress on key areas of support for Ukraine. He emphasized the importance of Russian compromises and expressed frustration with Europe's inaction, suggesting that internal arguments and indecisiveness hinder their ability to address global problems effectively. The Ukrainian President also highlighted the outstanding issue of territory, stating that the eastern part of Ukraine is the focus of the conflict. Meanwhile, Steve Witkoff, Donald Trump's special envoy, and Jared Kushner were in Moscow for talks with Putin, while senior ADF figures expressed skepticism about Russia's sincerity in ending the war. The speech came after a meeting with Trump, where they agreed on US security guarantees for Ukraine, which are yet to be finalized and ratified by both sides.
